When we started brainstorming the MEGA Summer Live broadcast last spring, we had no idea what would come of it.
While we hoped a few people would tune in to watch the MEGA Summer prize giveaways, we did NOT expect the large outpouring of support, excitement, enthusiasm and comments from several thousand people, each week.
It’s crazy! And awesome!
You’re there each week, saying hello and sharing your #OhmHour stories, and you’re also coming to the table with some great ideas as to how we can improve.
Over the summer we got some suggestions for prizes we can offer and a number of people suggested that we keep up the practicing of giving out more than one prize … and when the people speak, we listen!
So in this first week of 2019 Power In Numbers there will be not one but FIVE winners’ names called as recipients of $1000 Amazon Gift Cards.
With your $1000 you may want to make some environmentally-and-world-friendly upgrades to your life like…
1) 5 new bikes for you and four of your coworkers to commute to work
2) A greenhouse so you can grow your own vegetables in your backyard
Want to be eligible to win this week’s Power In Numbers prize?
Here’s what you have to do:
If you’re not yet an OhmConnect user, get fully enrolled by connecting your eligible utility account (PG&E, SCE or SDG&E). Not only could you be eligible to win a $1000 Amazon gift card, but you’ll be entered into a program that actually pays you to save energy on a weekly basis. We might be a bit biased, but we think it’s pretty sweet ;)
Keep an eye out for Prize #OhmHour notifications you receive this week and next week
If you spot a Prize #OhmHour in your inbox, take a close look at the goal set for you. (They will something along the lines of "get eligible for this week's prize when you use less than 0.4 kWh”. These targets are tailored to your own personal energy use, so everyone is given a reasonable stretch target.)
If you achieve your goal, you will be put in the pool of others who did the same and one name will be randomly selected as the reward recipient
Tune in every other week on Sundays at 5pm PST to OhmConnect’s Facebook page to watch the live broadcast of the winners, alongside other important Power In Numbers updates (Pro tip: to get a notification when we go live, ‘like’ the Facebook page ahead of time.)
If you don’t win this round’s prize but you successfully meet your Prize #OhmHour goals five times during the Power In Numbers promotion, you’ll be entered to win our grand prize of $100,000 when we collectively save 1 Gigawatt of energy. (Amazing, right?!)
If you DID win, start daydreaming your Amazon haul!
